Origin: Amazon basin, Brazil
Used in: Rise
Flavour: Earthy, faintly bitter, with a soft cocoa finish.
Aroma: Warm, woody, a whisper of dark chocolate.

Cultivated for centuries by the Sateré-Mawé people of the Amazon rainforest, guarana holds a place of quiet ceremony — its seed carefully roasted, ground and shared at the beginning of the day.

Selected for Rise because its naturally occurring caffeine complements an intentional morning experience — a gentle spark, rather than a jolt.

Kanna

A succulent botanical with a rich cultural history among the Khoisan people, who have chewed and fermented kanna for centuries in moments of gathering, storytelling and communal presence.

Damiana

Turnera diffusa

Origin: Central America, from Mexico to the Caribbean
Used in: Connect
Flavour: Warm, honeyed, softly aromatic.
Aroma: Sweet-herbaceous, gently smoky.

A shrub of the arid coasts, damiana has been enjoyed for centuries in Mexican and Central American folk tradition — its leaves brewed and shared at the close of the working day, and at the beginning of long, unhurried conversations.
